Stothard Residents on a Trip to Northern Norfolk

On June 22nd, we took all 9 of the Stothard residents on a trip to Northern Norfolk. After a 4-hour trip we were greeted by a beautiful view of our new accommodation for the week, the lovely Church farm barns of Wickmere.

Day 1 – Minibus Trip

After settling in the first night, next morning, we took a short minibus trip to the quaint village of Holt.

After exploring the town and seeing the amazing church and the wonderful hospitality of Owl Tearooms we went on a stunning steam train ride to nearby Sheringham.

Upon arrival we immediately had an exquisite meal in their classic train station cafe before venturing out into the rest of the town.

To cool down from the scorching sun we traipsed down to the seaside to get some much-needed sea breeze, treating ourselves to some sweet treats while admiring the view.

Our evening concluded in the idyllic Two Lifeboats restaurant pub located right on the seafront with delicious food and delectable views.

We then retreated back to the cosy barns to relax before another fun filled day.

Day 2 – Cromer’s Amazona Zoo

After getting everyone fed and ready, day 2 was commenced with an exotic expedition to Cromer’s own Amazona Zoo.

A refreshing drink later from the cafe, we checked out all the animals and amenities they had to offer.

We then ventured into the town of Cromer, taking in the amazing architecture and vibrant view before cruising Cromer’s iconic pier.

Day 3 – English Norfolk Show, Aviation Museum and Norfolk Cathedral

Our final day was divided up into 3 groups, our CEO Maia, went to the quintessentially English Norfolk Show with Richard A, Hayley, and Mark.

Ben went to the Aviation Museum before seeing what sights Norfolk had to offer with Chris, Richard W, and Aidan.

And Alison went for a visit to the beautiful Norfolk Cathedral before a relaxed shopping trip in Norfolk town centre with the lovely ladies Tracy, Karol and Lesley.

We all reconvened to enjoy a group meal in the culinary classic Cosmos that had plenty of variety for everyone’s enjoyment, then took a relieving rest at the barns before sadly returning to Stothard.
